Arcoora is a training ground for the sentry of our times.
In this place we attune to the call of our ancestors; past, present and emerging. Together we apprentice as practitioners, bound by love and longing for the Earth. As tribe and village-minded kin we share and learn in the arts of wisdom.
Arcoora is stewarding the former Vajradhara Gonpa and surrounding land and forest as a training ground for Earth Arts and Village-mindedness. Historically the site has long been identified as a wisdom school and sanctuary for cultural initiations.
The spirit work that has taken place here resounds.
Arcoora draws strength from the ancestors of this place and pledges to honour and conspire in the following ways:
By restoring and breathing new life to the ‘Gonpa’ building and retreat facilities
By gathering traces and stories of this place
By tending to the grounds and regenerating the surrounding bush according to best practices in land management and small scale agriculture
By co-operating and collaborating with other groups and initiatives who are animated and enchanted by this place and wish to come into relation with Arcoora and the land.
