Arcoora is a nonprofit collaborative community organisation for training, support and action in community resilience and ecological regeneration.
We listen to nature and to the ancestors of this place; past, present and emerging, stewarding the former Vajradhara Gonpa and surrounding wilderness according to ecological principles and values.
Arcoora applies best practices in holistic land management and small scale agriculture, transforming the former Vajradhara Gonpa and surrounding land and forest as a training ground for Earth Arts and Village-mindedness. Historically the site has long been identified as a wisdom school and sanctuary for cultural initiations.
The spirit work that has taken place here resounds.
To restore and breathe new life into the ‘Gonpa’ building and retreat facilities
To gather traces and stories of this place
To tend to the grounds, regenerating the surrounding wilderness according to best practices in land management and small scale agriculture
To host and offer immersive experiences for training, support and action toward community resilience and ecological regeneration.
To collaborate and participate, locally, bioregionally and globally, with other similarly intentioned and aligned organisations and initiatives.
To celebrate, share and record our work through multi-disciplinary arts initiatives.
